Searches compare the term with the full-description of the tatto records included in the dataset after filtering tattoos and sources. Results are returned in tabular form below.
Text selection from most text data panels is automatically copied to the search box when the mouse button is released.
Make a text selection creates a text file with each of the descriptions from the table recorded on seperate lines (e.g. ready for tasks like uploading to voyant tools).
Show search results on graph - draws the selected source(s) with the results in colour
Show search results (only hits) - removes the background data to simplify mouse selection of search resultson the graph.
Index Number - (left column) loads the description’s data into the Record panel.
External Link - opens the Digital Panopticon Life Record for this convict.
